Spent 4 hours figuring out why my hatch pattern wasn't showing up in AutoCAD

Honestly, I was working on a floor plan for a client in Austin and I kept applying a hatch pattern but it just wouldn't render. Turned out my viewport scale was jacked up and the hatch scale was too small to even see. Took me way too long, like 4 hours of messing with layers and settings, before I spotted the scale dropdown. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on a simple viewport setting?

Come on, that's on you for not double checking your viewport scale before you started hatching. It's literally the first thing you should look at when you're working in a layout tab. I mean, four hours? You could have opened your properties panel, clicked the hatch, and seen the scale was tiny in two minutes. Autodesk even highlights the scale setting in the hatch editor ribbon. It's not like it's hidden in some obscure menu. You just skipped the basic troubleshooting steps. Honestly, this is why layer management and viewport settings are taught in the first week of any CAD class.
