Tried that new parametric modeling plugin for a simple bracket, and it completely bricked my file.

Lost three hours of work because the constraints went haywire and corrupted the whole assembly. Anyone know a more stable method for adaptive parts in 2D?

Ugh, been there. Did you have auto-save turned on? I always set mine to save every five minutes after losing a whole project once. For 2D adaptive parts, I skip the fancy plugins and just use separate sketches with linked dimensions. It's a few more steps but never crashes. Save a copy before you try any new tool.

Oh man, hard agree on the linked dimensions thing! (Saved my sanity more times than I can count.) People get so hung up on fancy plugins when the basic method works fine. Auto-save is a lifesaver too, but I learned that the hard way after losing a 6-hour session once. Separate sketches and basic constraints never crash on me, even with complex parts. Honestly, sometimes the simple route is the smartest.

That "bricked my file" feeling is everywhere these days.

Blame the user for not saving their work every ten seconds.
