Update: That broken plotter cost me a whole day of work
Last Wednesday I was working on a set of plans for a local church renovation here in Louisville, and my plotter just flat out stopped mid-print on a 36 inch roll. The paper got all jammed up inside and I spent 2 hours trying to pull it out without tearing anything. Turns out a tiny piece of a previous job was stuck in the rollers and it threw the whole alignment off. I finally got it cleared by manually advancing the feed with a hex key and some patience. After that I ran a test print and it worked fine, but the whole mess set me back on my deadline. Has anyone else had to deal with a paper jam that seems to come from nowhere?

Man, I gotta disagree a bit here. A random paper jam like that usually isn't out of nowhere, it's almost always a tiny piece of debris or a worn roller you missed during maintenance. You might save yourself a headache next time if you run a cleaning sheet through it every few weeks to catch that stuff before it gets stuck.
