Vent: Why does nobody tag their revision clouds on drawings anymore

I was looking over a set of structural plans from a junior drafter last week and there were 7 different revision clouds on one sheet, none of them tagged with a number or date. I had to cross-check every single one against the revision block just to figure out what changed. It took me an extra 20 minutes on a job that was already tight on time. My old boss would have made us redo the whole thing if we pulled that. Does your office have a standard way you expect revisions to be called out, or is it pretty loose?

The trick that finally worked for us was making it a hard rule that every cloud gets a number that matches the revision block before it even leaves the drafter's desk. We had one senior guy who would just scribble clouds everywhere (it drove me nuts too). Once we started checking for those tags during the review step instead of after the fact, it saved everyone that extra headache.

Did the numbering thing cause any pushback from the senior guy though?
