Dream rule: you can run but only backwards if there's a deadline

Used to have dreams where I'd sprint forward to catch a bus and get nowhere. Now in my dreams, I just walk backwards calmly and somehow arrive faster. Anyone else figure out their own weird dream physics like this?

I'm with you on the random nonsense part @rose_reed, but I think you guys might be overthinking this one. Dreams are just your brain doing cleanup work, not some deep system with hidden rules. It's more like a glitchy computer than a secret language to decode.

Walking backwards to arrive faster is actually brilliant, I've never noticed that trick in my dreams.

Used to think dream logic was just random nonsense with no rules. But reading this makes me realize my brain actually does have a weird system for how time works in dreams, I just never noticed it before. Gotta pay more attention to the patterns now.
