Dream where my phone numbers kept shifting around on the screen

I had a dream last night where my contacts list kept rearranging itself every time I blinked, and I couldn't call anyone because the numbers moved to different names. Has anyone else had a dream where technology just refuses to work in a way that makes total sense at the time?

The jello keyboard thing is too real, technology in dreams always seems to find a way to make simple tasks impossible. @parkerbrown had the same kind of phone dialing frustration, like our brains are testing us by breaking the one tool we depend on every day. The sore hands the next morning just proves how real the struggle felt, even when the whole thing was made up.

Oh man, that reminds me of this dream I had where my keyboard was made of jello and the letters would sink in whenever I tried to type. I kept pressing super hard but it just made the jiggle worse. And in my head I was like "I have to send this urgent email" but the words kept turning into different things. It was honestly stressful because I felt so behind on whatever fake work I was doing in the dream. The weirdest part is I woke up and my hands were actually sore from clenching them so tight in my sleep. Technology in dreams is always broken in the most frustrating ways.

@laura_schmidt82 oh man, the sore hands thing is so real. I had a dream once where I was trying to dial 911 on my phone but the numbers kept changing places every time I looked down. Like the 9 would move to where the 1 was supposed to be. I woke up with my thumb literally cramping from trying to swipe at the screen. There's something really unsettling about technology failing in dreams, probably because in real life we rely on it so much. The fake work pressure makes it worse too, like your brain is making you anxious about stuff that doesnt even exist lol. Hope your hands are feeling better today.
