Found out dreams skip the boring parts of real life - like walking through doors is optional
I read in a sleep study that your brain can't actually process doorways during REM sleep, which explains why every dream I have just teleports me between rooms, but what do you think - are we dreaming in fast travel mode or does your brain just hate waiting for transitions?

Used to think dreams were random. Brain just skips the boring logistics.

Yeah @wade871 I think that's how our brains work with memories too, skipping the boring details but keeping the highlights. It's like how you remember a vacation's best moments but not the three hours you spent waiting in line.

Oh man, that's hilarious. My dreams definitely have a "skip intro" button for walking through doors. It's like my brain got tired of waiting for loading screens and just fast traveled everywhere. Honestly, I'd love to know if my subconscious is just that impatient or if it's secretly a hardcore gamer trying to optimize its route. Either way, it explains why I never have to fumble with keys in a dream or wait for an elevator. Your brain basically said "cut the boring stuff, let's get to the part where I'm flying over a giant taco.
