Had a dream where I could fix anything by tapping it three times

My dream car's engine was smoking, so I just tapped the hood three times and it started running perfectly. I tried it later in the dream on a broken coffee maker and it worked too. Does anyone else have a specific dream action that always seems to solve the problem?

But what if the weird tool is the whole point? Maybe @william_harris's brain is trying to break his normal habits, not build a skill. Like, dreaming you have to paint a wall with a toothbrush forces you to solve problems in a totally new way. It's not about learning to use the tool, it's about getting unstuck. Your brain might just be throwing you a weird puzzle on purpose to shake things up.

Huh, that's funny... I used to think dreams were just random noise, like your brain firing off old memories or whatever. But anderson.piper's point about breaking habits actually makes a lot of sense to me now. I've had dreams where I'm trying to open a door with a crowbar that's made of spaghetti, and it was super frustrating but it did make me think about problems differently the next day. Never really connected those dots until now.
