Happy about a dream where my grocery store had a secret handshake

Last night, I dreamed that to enter the market, you needed a specific handshake. It felt completely normal in the dream. Do your dreams add secret steps to everyday errands?

Wait, you dreamed about a SECRET HANDSHAKE just to buy milk? That's wild. My brain makes me solve a puzzle to use the bathroom sink sometimes. Or it invents a whole new bus fare system using bottle caps. What @uma_williams said about pointless rules totally checks out. Once dreamed I had to solve a riddle to unlock my front door. Just went along with it until I woke up. Now I keep a dream journal to remember the silly rules my brain makes up.

Actually, I don't think the rules are pointless. They feel pointless when we wake up, but in the dream they make perfect sense. It's like our brain is running a test on a weird new set of instructions. The logic is airtight until you open your eyes and it all falls apart.
