My grandma's dream advice about locking doors

She told me in a dream that I had to lock the front door exactly 7 times before bed or the shadow people would rearrange my furniture. I woke up and actually tried it for about 3 weeks straight. Came home one day and the kitchen table was in the living room. My roommate said he moved it, but the timing was just too weird. Has anyone else gotten specific instructions from a dream that ended up matching real life?

You said the timing was too weird, but maybe your roommate knew about your dream and was messing with you to play off that superstition.
