The time I had to fight a dream tornado with a cheese grater

So last Tuesday night I had this dream where a tornado was coming through my backyard and the only thing that could stop it was a specific cheese grater from the back of my kitchen drawer. Not any cheese grater, it had to be the one with the rusty handle that my ex roommate left behind 3 years ago. I remember running across the wet grass in my bare feet yelling at my wife to hand it to me through the sliding door. The logic in the dream was crystal clear - a normal tornado can be defeated by shredding it into smaller pieces, like you would with a block of cheddar. I woke up literally grabbing at my bedside table looking for a grater. Has anyone else had a dream where an ordinary kitchen tool became the only weapon against some kind of catastrophe?

Gotta say man, this feels like way too much drama for a dream. It was just a cheese grater. You were running around yelling at your wife. Probably just ate too late and your brain got weird.

Gotta disagree with you there man. Dreams hit different for some people and those intense feelings stick with you even after you wake up. The brain doesn't really care if it was a cheese grater or a monster when you're in that fight or flight mode.

Last Tuesday I dreamt I was trapped in a walk-in cooler full of expired yogurt with @dakota415 and we had to build a escape ladder out of plastic spoons. Woke up actually mad at him for not helping enough. Brain does not care about logic when the alarm goes off. A cheese grater is totally valid fear fuel.
