Unpopular opinion: That dream where everyone laughs at your clothes is NOT about insecurity

I read a popular dream blog last week saying those dreams where you show up in the wrong outfit are always about low self-esteem. But I had one Tuesday where I was wearing a full scuba suit to a wedding and everyone was cheering. I think sometimes a dream rule is just your brain being funny, not some deep therapy session. Has anyone else had a dream that was purely absurd and not a hidden message?

Well @spencer_coleman, you actually changed my mind because I used to think every dream meant something deep too.

Huh, I gotta disagree a bit. I mean your scuba suit dream sounds hilarious but don't you think even the funny ones are poking at something? I had a dream I was a giant hot dog rolling down a hill and everyone was laughing with me not at me. But looking back I was stressed about a work presentation where I felt totally out of place. Sometimes the brain wraps a serious point in a joke so we actually listen.
