Cleaning out the garage and found my old flight school application
I filled it out back in 2018, right after my 30th birthday, with plans to start at the small airfield in Dayton. Life got busy with my daughter starting school, and the cost, nearly $12,000 just to begin, felt impossible. Now the papers are just sitting in a box next to the lawnmower. Does anyone else have a folder like this tucked away somewhere?

Found mine too, a real estate course packet from 2015. Honestly, I see that box and feel relieved I didn't go through with it. That dream was a huge money pit waiting to happen, and my life took a better, cheaper path. Sometimes the stuff we don't do saves us from a ton of stress. Keeping the papers is just proof you made a smart choice for your family back then.

Nine years is a long time to hold onto a box of what-ifs. That packet must have been a heavy reminder every time you moved.

@quinna89 I dunno, people act like a box of old papers weighs a ton. I got old notebooks from high school somewhere. Doesn't mean I'm haunted by them. If it was that heavy, you'd toss it. Simple as that. People love to turn a dusty folder into some big emotional drama.

Wait, @avery_flores17, you kept that whole packet for nine years?
