Just realized I haven't picked up my guitar in over a year
I used to practice for an hour every night after work, trying to get good enough to play in a local band. Then about two years ago, my job got busier and I started skipping days. I found it in the closet today, still in its case from when I moved. The strings are all rusty. Has anyone else let a hobby just fade away like that?

Hey, did you try just tuning it up and playing for a few minutes? Sometimes that's all it takes to remember why you loved it.

I just started playing for five minutes a day again.

That's a solid way to build the habit back up. My friend did that with guitar and now she's weirdly good at it.

Oh wow, that's the secret... I guess I need to tell @diana617 her five minute plan is creating monsters. My friend tried that with drawing and now her sketches look way too good, it's honestly rude. Makes my stick figures feel judged. Guess I'll try five minutes of something and see if I get weirdly good too, or just weird.
