Shoutout to the old piano in my grandma's house in Akron
When I was 12, I was dead set on learning to play Chopin, and I practiced on that old upright for about a year. Life got busy with school and sports, and I just stopped, so now it's been over a decade since I touched a key. Has anyone else quit a hobby you were really into as a kid and just never picked it back up?

Maybe you left a song unfinished in it.

My old laptop from 2012 has a half-written novel chapter in a folder called "tax stuff". It's a time capsule of a story I completely forgot I was trying to tell.

Man, that's just how adult life works.

Real talk I found an old flash drive in a drawer last month and it had this weird text file called "ramen recipes" that was actually just a really sad poem about my ex from 2015 lol. Makes you wonder how many half finished projects we've got scattered around the digital world like little ghosts of who we used to be. The worst part is finding something you started with so much energy and then realizing you don't even know what you were trying to say anymore. Adult life really does just eat up all that creative drive like a hungry hungry hippo.
