That moment my pressure washer blew a seal in the middle of a driveway job
Was in Harrisburg last Tuesday. Third driveway of the day. Customer comes out, says 'looks good so far'. Then pop, hiss, water everywhere. Seal blew out on my old Simpson. Had to pack up and tell the guy I'd be back Friday. He was cool about it but man, I felt like a clown standing there with a dead machine. Anyone else have a tool die at the worst possible time?

Nah, gotta disagree a bit here. You're being too hard on yourself. Tools break, that's just how it goes. A blown seal on a pressure washer mid job is annoying but it's not like you were slacking off. I've had my skilsaw die halfway through a deck and that was way worse since it was a Saturday and the customer was watching. You handled it right by being upfront and coming back Friday. The customer was cool because you didn't make excuses. That's professionalism, not clown behavior.

Honestly @miller.rowan I think you're making this sound way more dramatic than it needs to be. Tools break, you fixed it, move on.

Disagree with that take completely. Calling someone out for being dramatic when they literally had to reschedule a job and explain themselves to a customer is just dismissing real stress. Sometimes people need to vent about a bad day without being told to just get over it.
