Saw a wild setup on a suction dredge near the Willamette last week... they'd rigged a whole extra screen section from an old conveyor belt.

It's that same kind of jury-rigged logic you see everywhere. My neighbor's garden hose is held together with a cut-up soda can and three different clamps. The local coffee shop has a bookshelf made from cinder blocks and old planks. People just see a problem and use whatever's already lying around to fix it. That conveyor belt screen is the exact same move.

Three different clamps" is a bit much, don't you think? It's just a hose.

Has anyone actually tried using a single good spring clamp instead of stacking three of them? @cole_baker is right about using what's on hand, but a worm drive clamp works way better and costs like a buck.
