Finished a 12,000 square foot job solo and the number still shocks me
Just wrapped up hanging board in a new office building downtown. When I tallied it up, I'd put up over 12,000 square feet by myself in three weeks. Never thought I could push that much material alone. How do you guys handle your own big solo projects without burning out?

That's a huge amount of work, man. I did a 9,000 foot drywall job by myself last fall and my shoulders were shot for a week. Breaking the day into clear chunks, like doing only one wall system at a time, kept me from getting overwhelmed.

Wait, 9,000 square feet of drywall by yourself? That math feels off for a solo job in one season. Maybe you meant 900? Either way, chunking it is the only sane method, anna578's "power through" idea is a fast track to wrecking your body. Trying to do it all at once just means you'll burn out and the work will look sloppy. You gotta pace yourself on big projects.

Nah, that chunking thing just drags it out. Sometimes you just gotta power through the whole mess at once.
