Finished my first solo 5,000 square foot job in Kansas City
It was a commercial office build-out that took me three weeks from framing inspection to final coat. The client said the finish was 'like glass' and paid the full invoice without a single callback. What's the biggest solo project you've ever handled?

My buddy did a whole house rewire by himself once.

Did he at least remember to turn the power off first? I tried changing a light switch once and my hair stood up for a week.

I tried that and ended up calling an electrician after I shocked myself three times.

Honestly, the real cost is the inspection. A lot of DIY guys forget their work has to pass code, and that's a whole other skill. So your buddy might have done it, but was it actually legal?
