Had a run of three perfect days in a row on a job in Bakersfield last month
Every sheet cut exactly right first try, no voids, and the mud was drying smooth as glass. I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop, maybe next week it'll all go sideways. Anybody else have a stretch where everything just clicked out of nowhere?

Tbh that feeling of waiting for the shoe to drop is the worst part of those perfect runs.

Used to think runs like that were pure luck, but @rowan969 is right about taking photos helping you lock it in. Seeing the clean results on my phone actually made me believe I could repeat it, and that changed my whole approach to the job. Now I save those pictures and go back to them when I hit a rough patch, just to remind myself how good work is supposed to look.

Yeah I've had that happen a couple times maybe twice in the last few years. It's weird when everything lines up like that and you start wondering if you somehow broke the laws of drywall physics. What I do is I take photos of the good work on my phone just so I can remember how it felt when I hit that groove. Usually helps me get back there faster the next time things start going sour.
