Had a whole section of ceiling tape fail on me this morning

Just finished a job in a new build over in the West End. I taped and coated the master bedroom ceiling yesterday, using the same paper tape and mud I always do. Came back this morning to sand and found a six-foot section had just let go overnight, hanging down like a sad little bridge. It was stuck fine at the ends but the middle had zero bond. The room was a bit cool, maybe 65 degrees, and I'm thinking I might have laid the bed coat a bit too thin in my rush to get out. Had to cut it all out, re-tape, and now I'm a full coat behind. Anyone else run into tape just not sticking for no clear reason? Makes me second-guess my whole method sometimes.

Nah, that tape just fails sometimes.

That 65-degree room was likely too cold for the mud to set properly.

Got a source for that temp? I've always heard 70 is the minimum.
