Shoutout to the 12-inch taping knife, because after years with a 6-inch, finishing a 10-foot ceiling in my Denver reno went from a full day to just under 4 hours.
I always thought the smaller knife gave more control, but the bigger blade lays down way more mud in one pass and leaves fewer lines to sand, so which do you guys think is the real workhorse for finish coats?

That 12-inch blade is a total game changer.

Tell me you're not actually using that thing in a kitchen, ray356. I've seen your "cooking" and a bigger blade just means a bigger mess to clean off the ceiling. It's like giving a toddler a power tool, honestly. Save the game changer talk for when you can dice an onion without also dicing your finger.

Honestly the real game changer is the angle you hold it at, a lot of people press down too hard and just dig trenches.
