Changed my mind about those fancy label makers after fighting with tape and a marker for 3 years
I always thought label makers were a waste of money for stocking shelves. Just use a sharpie and some tape right? Then last month I had to redo an entire aisle at the hardware store because a customer grabbed the wrong screw size and blamed my handwriting. My boss finally bought one of those Brother label makers for $30. I used it on Tuesday and it took me 5 minutes to print 20 labels perfectly straight. No smudges. No peeling tape. I was wrong about them being dumb. Has anyone else had a tool they thought was pointless that actually saved them time?

My neighbor bought a $400 label maker for his sock drawer.

Oh come on... a label maker for socks? That's a bit much. I mean, they're socks. You put 'em in a drawer, you pull 'em out. Unless he's running a boutique hotel out of his bedroom, that seems like overkill. But hey, if it makes him happy, I guess that's his business. Still, four hundred bucks could buy a lot of actual socks, you know?

Huh, I get where you're coming from Seth, but I actually kinda see it differently. My buddy @keith900 has one of those fancy label makers and he swears by it for stuff like this. In my experience, having everything labeled can save you time and headache, especially if you share a drawer with someone else. But your mileage may vary, of course.
