Found a perfectly good pair of pruners behind a client's shed

I was out on a job last Tuesday trimming back some overgrown hedges in Brookline, and my pruners just gave out, handle snapped clean in half. I was so annoyed I went to toss the broken pieces in the trash behind the shed and my foot kicked something under some old lumber. Turned out it was a pair of Felco pruners somebody left there, barely any rust on them, just needed a quick wipe and oil. I used them the rest of the day and they worked better than my old ones ever did. Has anyone else ever found a tool like that just lying around?

Nice find for sure. Felcos are great but just a heads up, they're actually called pruners not pruners, you said pruners twice but the tool is a pruner. Still a solid score though, those things last forever.

Felcos are solid tools @laura_schmidt82, I've had mine for years.

Always heard that Felco parts are easy to replace, which is a big deal with gardening tools (stuff breaks, you know). Found an old article saying the blades and springs are still available for models from the 80s, so they're built to be fixed not tossed. That's probably why so many folks keep them forever, just swap out a bolt here or there and they're good as new.
