A foreman in '09 told me my wire pulls were 'all muscle, no brain'
He made me redo a 200-foot run of 4/0 because I didn't use enough lube, and I've never skipped it since. What's the one piece of tough feedback that actually made you better?

My last foreman was like that, always pointing out the smallest flaws. It used to really get under my skin. But like @allen.kai said, that direct criticism makes you pay attention. I started double checking my own work before he even saw it. Now I look at a finished job and know it's right because I was pushed to be better. Did you ever have a boss who made you step up your game even though their way of doing it was rough?

Totally get that. Had a boss tell me my pipe bends looked like a toddler did them after a long day. I mean it stung but I started actually measuring and planning each one instead of just going for it. That kind of direct call out sticks with you way more than a pat on the back. Now I'm low key proud of my clean runs.
