TIL I hit 10,000 feet of wire pulled this month and it hit me different
I was just keeping my head down running MC in a big warehouse job outside Denver and the tally came up yesterday. Has anyone else had that moment where the numbers sneak up on you and make you realize how much sweat went into them?

That number is a gut punch in the best way. 10k feet is no joke, every foot of that means you showed up. Mad respect for reaching that point.

Ask @quinncarr what they think the single hardest part of that climb was physically or mentally. I find the mental side often sneaks up on people more than the muscle burn does, especially when you're past hour six. Curious if it was the elevation, the cold, or just the quiet of being that far up that tested them most.

@quinncarr nailed it with that gut punch line. The numbers sneak up on you when you're just putting in the work, and then one day the tally hits and you see all those miles laid out in your head. It's funny how the same thing happens outside work too. You look at a kids growth chart or a savings account balance and wonder how it got that big without you noticing. The small stuff adds up even when you're not watching. Nobody ever climbed a mountain all at once but they sure can feel the ache in their legs when they look back down.
