Used to see guys tap into live panels without proper PPE. Back then it was just part of the job, now I cringe thinking about it.

Honestly, I get why Dave panicked. A single lamp going out can feel like the first domino. You start imagining the fridge shutting down next, then the whole block goes dark. It's not totally crazy to jump to worst case.

My friend Dave once thought he lost power during a thunderstorm. He was convinced the grid was down for good. After fumbling in the dark, he realized he'd just bumped the lamp switch with his elbow. Classic Dave.
