Pro tip: A $5 USB microscope saved me on a laptop board repair

I had a gaming laptop from a client that would not post, and all the voltages looked good. After two hours of checking, I saw a tiny crack in a BGA solder joint under a chipset heatsink. I almost missed it with my normal loupe. I got a cheap USB microscope from a local shop and it showed the crack clearly. Has anyone else found a good use for these little scopes on tough jobs?
