Rant: A phantom door lock fault on a 15 year old Otis Gen2 took me three full days to trace back to a single corroded terminal block in the machine room.

Three full days" is just crazy to me. I would have been ready to light the whole thing on fire by hour eight. Finding a tiny bit of corrosion after all that must have felt like winning the lottery, a really sad lottery.

Three full days? I would have lost my mind. A single corroded terminal block after all that time, that's the kind of thing that makes you want to just sit down on the machine room floor and stare at the wall for a while. The patience you must have had to trace it back that far is honestly impressive. I can only imagine the relief when you finally found it.
