Tbh, seeing our building's energy use drop after switching to regen drives was a game-changer

Honestly, it's got me thinking about other ways we can cut down on power in this trade.

That's a huge win. It makes you wonder what else is just soaking up power without us noticing. Have you looked at your lighting setup yet? (Swapping old fixtures for LEDs was our next big move after the drives). Or even the HVAC schedule - we found units running full blast in empty zones half the night.

Heard from a pal who runs a small shop that they had a similar wake-up call. They tracked their idle machines and found a few left on standby all weekend, sucking power for no reason. In his case, it was an old paint booth exhaust fan that never shut off. They put it on a simple timer and saw their next bill drop a noticeable chunk. Your mileage may vary, but sometimes it's the dumb, obvious stuff that gets overlooked.

Seriously? How much are we really saving here, a couple bucks? It just seems like a drop in the bucket.

Our corporate campus did a full energy audit last year and found those "couple bucks" per device added up to over six figures annually.
