I spent $200 on a 'life-changing' online course that taught me nothing new

The sales page promised a secret system for better habits, but the content was just basic advice I could have found for free. I felt like a total sucker after finishing the whole thing in one afternoon. Has anyone else had a moment where they realized they paid for hype instead of real help?

Sometimes you need to pay to learn what not to buy.

Ugh that's the worst feeling. I wonder if those courses work better on people who are totally new to the topic, like they're preying on folks who don't know where to start. For anyone who's already looked stuff up, it's just repackaged basics. Makes me not trust any big promises online now lol.

My bank account is a cautionary tale.

Honestly the worst part is how they make you feel dumb for not seeing it sooner. It's like paying for a map that just says "go that way.
