Showerthought: My big 'aha' moment came from a $200 online course that taught me nothing

I bought a popular course on finding your life's purpose last year, thinking it would give me a clear plan. It was just six hours of vague talks and fill-in-the-blank worksheets that left me more confused. I felt like a fool for expecting a simple answer from a screen. Has anyone else had a similar letdown with self-help stuff that promised big change?

Wasting hope and time" hit close to home for me, saw a friend quit her job after a seminar and regret it within months.

Honestly, that's just how those courses go. At least it only cost you two hundred bucks and not your whole personality.

I saw a guy on Reddit who spent over five grand on a "mastermind" group that promised six figure success. He ended up more in debt and just as confused. Sometimes the real cost isn't the money, it's the time and hope you waste believing in a quick fix. That can mess with your head more than people admit.
