Back in 2010, I'd use a straight razor on every client's brows without a second thought.

Now, after a bad reaction from a client in Portland, I only use disposable blades and do a patch test first. Anyone else switch up their brow technique after a scare?

Patch testing is just basic common sense now. That Portland story is exactly why you can't skip it, even if you've done a thousand brows without a problem. It only takes one person with a weird allergy or sensitive skin to change your whole outlook. Disposable blades are a no-brainer for safety, but the real lesson is assuming every new client could be that one bad reaction. Getting comfortable is how you miss the warning signs.

Ever worry a patch test might not catch everything?

Honestly feels like people make a huge deal out of it sometimes lol. Like sure, do the test, but acting like it's a life or death thing seems over the top. Most people are totally fine.

My cousin got a rash from a patch test once and still has a scar.
