I thought those LED light masks were just a gimmick for influencers.

A client brought her own from home for a facial add-on, and after 20 minutes of red light, her post-acne marks looked noticeably calmer the next day. Has anyone else actually seen solid results with these, or did I just get lucky?

You said it was just the next day, but in my experience, the real calming effect from red light usually takes a few consistent sessions to show up. Maybe her skin was just extra happy that day.

Yeah, or maybe she just had a good filter that morning.

Read a study recently that said red light needs to hit a certain wavelength and power level to actually do anything, and most of those cheap masks don't hit it. So if she had a good quality device, maybe it genuinely helped, or maybe her skin was just having a good day from something else entirely. Your mileage may vary big time with this stuff, a lot of it is trial and error. I've seen people swear by it and others see zero change after months.

Totally agree, and @danielnelson might be onto something with the filter.
