Installing a doorbell cam showed me how little we talk now.
I put it up for safety, but now my neighbors avoid my porch. It feels like we traded community for surveillance.

Maybe they were already avoiding you before the camera. What makes you so sure it changed anything?

That bush waving thing proves it. The camera made normal weird.

Yeah that "traded community for surveillance" line hits hard. My neighbor literally side steps my walkway now and waves from the bushes like we're in a spy movie. Guess we went from "hey how's it going" to "please smile for the audit.
