My neighbor in Phoenix asked me to lie to the HOA about his fence
He built a fence 2 feet over the property line and got a violation notice. He called me over, offered me $500, and said 'just tell them you saw the old survey, it's fine.' I said no, obviously, but now he won't talk to me and it's super awkward. How do you handle it when a friend asks you to cover for something you know is wrong?

Seriously though, what kind of mistake gets you arrested over a fence? Was he stealing materials, or did he build it on someone else's land? There's gotta be more to that story.
