PSA: Don't pay for that premium parking pass near the marina

I dropped $150 on a "guaranteed" spot by the Everett Marina for the summer, ended up fighting for space every weekend anyway. The free lot a block west had openings like 80% of the time, total waste of cash. Anyone else get burned by those overpriced parking schemes?

Did you try showing up before 9 AM? I snagged a spot every time with the premium pass and never dealt with the free lot riffraff.

Try getting there Wednesday night instead of Thursday morning. I did that last year with a regular pass and found a decent spot in the main lot around 10 PM. Just bring a flashlight and some snacks and you're set for the overnight wait.

Can't believe you actually used the word "riffraff" @jade_jenkins like it's 1920 or something. That's wild. But hey good for you on the premium pass thing I guess. Some of us just can't drop that kind of cash on a festival pass you know. I showed up at 7 AM one time and still ended up parking a mile away in that overflow field. It's not always about the time you show up it's also about luck and how many people are camping overnight. Maybe next year I'll just sleep in my car in line or something.
