My basil plant went from three leaves to a full bush in just under two months
I bought a sad little starter plant from the garden center in early May, and it barely grew for weeks. I moved it from a small pot to a bigger one with some fresh soil, and I started watering it a bit less but more often. Now it's the middle of July and I have to trim it back every few days. It made me see that sometimes a small change in the basics, like space and routine, is all that's needed for a big shift. Has anyone else had a plant that just took off after one simple fix?

Honestly that sounds like a lot of luck. My basil always gets leggy and sad no matter what I do, repotting and all. Sometimes a plant just has good genetics and the weather is perfect, it's not always some deep life lesson.

My mint plant did the same thing, it's a monster now.

Mint will take over your whole garden if you let it. My neighbor's yard is half mint now.
