Spent 45 minutes looking for my car keys only to find them in the fridge door handle

I was late for a dentist appointment last Tuesday and tore my whole apartment apart for almost an hour. Turns out I grabbed a carton of milk with one hand and my keys with the other when I got home from the store. Has anyone else put something random in a weird spot when you were distracted by a phone call or just dead tired?

Maybe it's just me but there's something almost impressive about how automatic our brains get when we're running on fumes. The fridge door handle is a new one for me though. I once found my TV remote in the freezer next to a bag of peas because I was on the phone with my mom and just went into autopilot mode.

That fridge thing with the keys is wild. I read somewhere that sleep deprived brains basically go into low power mode and just start doing stuff without thinking. @ray356, your remote in the freezer made me laugh because that's exactly the kind of autopilot I'm talking about.
