Hit my 100th blood donation last month and it messed with my head a little

I started donating in college just for the free snacks, never thought I'd stick with it that long. But seeing that number on the Red Cross app made me realize how many people that actually helps, something like 300 units of blood over the years. Anyone else have a random milestone like this that caught you off guard?

A friend of mine works in materials science and says the real leap wasn't the smaller chips but figuring out how to keep them from melting in your pocket. They hit a wall around 2015 where the power density was literally cooking the solder joints. A lot of the progress since then has been about managing heat, not just cramming more transistors on.
