Showerthought: My neighbor in apartment 4B called me out on my recycling habits
She pointed out that I was tossing greasy pizza boxes in the blue bin, which contaminates the whole batch at our local Denver facility. I always thought cardboard was fine, but she explained the oil makes it unrecyclable. Now I tear off the clean lid for recycling and trash the greasy bottom. Anyone else get schooled on a simple habit they thought was right?
