Hot take: I used to think those 'financial personality' quizzes were helpful for couples

My partner and I spent $75 on one of those online courses that promised to map out our money styles. It basically just told us we're a 'spender' and a 'saver', which we already knew. We could have just talked it out over coffee and saved the cash. Has anyone else wasted money on something like this and found a better way to figure it out?

Wasn't that just the most obvious waste of money?

Absolutely, it's like they're throwing cash into a bonfire. Look at that new city hall annex they built last year, all fancy glass and empty offices. Could have fixed every pothole on Main Street instead. Makes you wonder who's really benefiting from these decisions.

Actually, wasn't the annex project two years ago? I remember the vote was right before the pandemic. The new waste is that downtown sculpture they just approved for 200k. Looks like a pile of scrap metal.
