Putting shoes on unhealthy hooves does more harm than good.

Picture a horse with thin soles in shoes. That's asking for trouble and I'm shocked a client pushed for it. Thin soles mean the horse is already vulnerable, so adding shoes just makes it worse. You made the right call.
