Stella's right, that wet brush trick is a game changer. You can get these soft, painterly backgrounds with almost no effort. It makes the whole sketch feel way more finished.

Try blending it with a wet brush for some cool shading effects.

Yeah the wet brush is great for soft stuff. But if you want really sharp shadows, try it with a dry brush right after, it gives you way more control over the edges. Ends up looking super clean.
