Spent $400 on a digital pattern drafting course that was basically just YouTube videos
I signed up for the 'Pro Fashion Drafting' online course last year thinking it would have live feedback and custom templates. Turns out it was just a playlist of basic tutorials you could find for free, and the 'support forum' was totally dead. Has anyone actually found a good paid course for learning advanced draping or should I just stick with free resources?

Check out university extension programs for real advanced classes. They often have in person or live online sessions with actual feedback. Free stuff is great for basics but you hit a wall without proper guidance.

What kind of wall did you hit with the free stuff?

mark's right about that wall. I did the whole self taught route with online tutorials and free stuff, but without someone looking over your shoulder and telling you where you're screwing up you stall out hard. I ended up paying for a community college night class that was maybe a couple hundred bucks, but the instructor could walk over and point at what I was doing wrong on the actual equipment. Saved me a lot of wasted time guessing.
