Warning: I bought a whole bolt of this 'designer' fabric online for a jacket project...

It was supposed to be a heavy wool blend, but when it arrived it felt like cheap felt and the color was totally wrong. I was out about $180 and now I have 15 yards of fabric I can't use for anything. The photos on the site were clearly from a different material. Has anyone found a good source for quality fabric swatches you can actually trust before buying?

Man that reminds me of when I tried to buy a specific wool coat online. The pictures made it look so thick and soft, but what showed up felt like a cheap blanket. The color was totally off too, more gray than the deep green in the photos. I spent weeks trying to get a refund from that site. It's crazy how much they can fake with good lighting and editing.

Ugh, "photos were clearly from a different material" is the worst. Got burned on some linen like that last year.
