I used to laugh at the idea of a post driver until a job in Galveston
A crew I was helping with a big chain link job swore by their gas powered post driver, said it cut their time in half. I thought it was just a fancy toy for people who didn't like a good old sledgehammer. They let me try it on a corner post, and I drove a 6-foot post in about 30 seconds without breaking a sweat. My arms were grateful after setting 40 posts that day. What other tools did you think were silly until you actually used them?

My buddy who does fencing laughed at my cordless angle grinder for years. He finally borrowed it to cut some old bolts on a gate and called me an hour later from the hardware store buying his own. Said the lack of a cord changed everything for quick cuts on site.

Cordless tools really do change how you approach small jobs. I used to avoid trimming a few pavers because of the cord hassle, but now it's a five minute task. That freedom is hard to explain until you try it.

That "lack of a cord changed everything" is so true. I had the same moment using one to trim a door frame without dragging an extension cord across the house.
