My uncle told me to put 10% of every paycheck into a Roth IRA starting at 22, and now at 30, the compound interest is genuinely shocking.

He said, 'You won't miss it now, but you'll thank me later,' and after checking my balance this morning, I finally get it, so has anyone else had a piece of simple advice that actually paid off big time?

But what if you need that money for something now?

Ever heard the "pay yourself first" rule? I started doing that with my first real job and it's crazy how much just auto-saving a bit adds up.

My buddy's coffee habit cost him a new laptop last year, same idea.

I mean, is it really that big of a deal? @ninaowens It's just moving money around, right? Feels like people make saving sound way more serious than it is.
