Question about paying for a tax prep service

I spent $400 on a CPA to file my return this year, and they found over $1,200 in deductions I missed. Has anyone else had a good experience with a pro versus doing it yourself?

Totally worth it for me too... my guy found a home office credit I never would have known about. Paid for itself and then some.

Honestly, I just do my own taxes. The software walks you through everything these days, and I'd rather keep that fee.

My CPA in Denver caught a state tax credit for my electric car, saved me like $800. Honestly I was just trying to avoid the stress of doing it myself.

Oh man, I just read an article about this! It said most people who pay a pro end up getting back way more than the fee, especially if they have weird stuff like investments or side gigs. Sounds like your $400 was a solid investment for sure!
