After redoing my own kitchen, I'm convinced that glue-down vinyl is overrated.

Peel-and-stick tiles held up better in my high-traffic area.

Watched a neighbor try glue-down vinyl in their basement. It curled up at the edges after the first flood. Makes you wonder about moisture claims for any floor, right?

Ugh, that's why moisture tests matter.

Yeah, "a total gamble" is right. It feels like they're selling you a floor, not a solution for a wet space. You really have to test things yourself because the claims don't mean much.

Oof, sandraf98's story sounds rough.

My cousin's basement laminate did the same thing after two months. Those moisture claims are a total gamble.
